I was born in Miami Florida, and have lived in the South Florida region for most of my life (I lived in N.J. for under a year many years ago)  I graduated from Miami-Dade College and from Barry University ( in Miami Shores).   I am a mother, a grandmother, and a widow.  For more than 34 years I worked as a health care professional (a registered nurse) which I enjoyed very much.  However, after my retirement from health care, I decided to pursue my passion for writing, and also for poetry..  I like writing motivational poetry in addition to writing short stories, mostly for the younger audiences.  I currently have my very first book of poetry completed and published which is available on Amazon.com:  http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B004NBZ9YY/ref=dp_image_z_0?ie=UTF8&m=AG56TWVU5XWC2&n=283155&s=books  I am now working on other writing projects....mostly about health issues and weight loss.  Since my retirement from nursing, I've been  having a lot of fun with article writing and blogging.
